Drinking Fluxx

We went out a place called Meadiocrity, which is a brewer of mead with over 20 different flavors.  We got a few cans of their brew at a farmer's market in Temecula about a month ago.  We don't drink, but we will sample things in moderation. It's tasty stuff, a bit like the white dessert wines (syrah, etc) that I like.  Last night we got an ad from them on Facebook saying they are now hosting D&D nights on Wednesday and Thursday, and the photo showed a much bigger place than what I had pictures.  So we drove over to check them out.

What I was not expecting was to see everyone playing either cards or a board game.  They have a stack of about 15 different games, and some regular decks of cards.

So we got a flight of 4 different meads and Anne picked the first game.  It was a Fluxx game, Drinking Fluxx, to be exact.  We know the general rules of these.  Some of the cards are pretty darn funny, but others actually tell you to take a drink.  We decided to trade the drinking cards in for other cards at the time, but on the way home I figured ways to convert drinking games into non-drinking games.  You can each start with 10 tokens and "drink" means give up a token, and if you run out of tokens, you're out.  Anyway, that was fun.

The location really should have chips to go with the drinks.

My pick for the funniest card I saw in that short session was "You Don't Buy Beer ... you just recycle it", a goal card where you need Beer plus The Toilet to win.
