Coin Idle

From G12, the makers of Atom Idle, here's another game that gets points for choosing a very niche theme: Coin Idle.  Here you are a coin collector, and new coins appear about every 9 seconds, and you merge them for better coins.  There are many layers of things to level up, and an exponential progression of points.  Here the currencies are money, gold bars and knowledge.

You can tap the finger/target buttons at bottom left or right speed up the next coins, and of course there are quests that count these clicks, power ups to speed up the process, and you can watch a video for X5 speed for 5 minutes or other boosts.  At the very top left is a coin that slowly disappears -- when the coin is gone, the next coin appears in your collection.

You can double-tap any coin to see its information, and from that page you can upgrade it.  Adding one star gives you X2 and costs 480 gold bars and 240 knowledge.  The second star gives X4 and costs twice as much.  I haven't done more than that for any coin yet.

Again, there is a little question mark icon at bottom left that will explain all the other icons and buttons to you.  Next to that is a trophy button which shows your achievements/quests.

The bottom bar has two rows.  The first shows your remaining auto-merges, your trophies, and your clicks (?).  The first and last buttons popup a Resource Exchange window but I'm not sure what it's doing.  The middle button takes you to the Collector Rating window, which lets you put coins in an exhibition, but I think I accidentally reset my progress from thiw window -- I'm not sure what I clicked that time.

The bottom row of the bottom bar has: upgrades, your coin collection, a page showing continents (not sure why), settings, auto-merge on/off, and the shop.  The Upgrades window has three tabs, one for each of the currencies: Money, Gold Bars and Knowledge, so be sure to check them all.  The upgrades all show a cost and then a button that says "1 UP," "2 UP", etc.  Click the cost button to upgrade once.  "3 UP" means you can afford to upgrade that item 3 times, and click the "3 UP" button to do all three upgrades at once.

It doesn't really make sense to merge coins of one country to get coins of another country, but they sure built an interesting library of coins, including real-world rarities with a good amount of notes for each one.  It looks like there are 438 different common coins to discover, plus 22 ancient coins and 4 rare coins.

The No Ads option was only $4.49 for this one.  To their credit, this game never ran an ad on its own.  The ads are only there to get boosts when you're feeling particularly impatient.  You have to click one of those options before any ad will play.
