Exponential Idle: Beyond Infinity
I don't know what to expect after passing the defined infinity of $ee200. But the next Supremacy upgrade is at 1000 psi to unlock x_1, and I have done a lot more Prestiges (112 total) to get to $ee268, which gives a psi of 995.76 ... and counting .... and there it is, 1000 psi.
So now I'm back at b=0.001 but there is a new list of x_1 to x_8 beneath the x value. Interesting expansion. There is a new equation beneath the main equation (where x has been replaced by x_1), where each x_i is x_(i-1)*dt. So with x=1e11 and dt at 38, expect x_1 to be 3.8e12. Nope, I have x=1.1e24 and dt=42, but x_1=6.4e27, meaning x is being multiplied by roughly 6000. The equation is actually writtem x_i = x_i + x_(i-1)dt but surely x_i can't be part of its own recursive definition?
Future psi upgrades are "y exponent +0.2" for 2000 psi and unlocking x_2 for 64,000 psi. Those sound like long hauls, and of course the equation tops off more severely as the value keeps going up into the stratosphere.
I also have 1412 stars, and new variable eta is only 1230, so boom. Eta. Next variable is theta for 1515 stars.
Jan 25: Now it feels like the game is in grind mode. Just Prestige over and over with auto-buy on, wait an hour or two to check again: pegged at ee165, then ee180, ee220, ee242, ee265. Psi is up to 800 but I need 2000 to bump up the y exponent by 0.2. It looks like the x_1 equation is trying to say that x_1 goes up by x*dt every tick, since it starts off around 100x and ends up 10^6x after a while. At $ee287, psi was up to 1489, and it feels like psi accelerates as the f(t) value inches higher. At ee295 psi=1886, 128 prestiges. ee297 = psi 1887. Looks like we'll hit 2000 psi very close to the ee300 mark.
ee299.95 = psi 2104 ... made it! ee301.8 = psi 2195. Did my next Supremacy, time to grind again from the beginning.
Some numbers along the way:
265.0 800
287.0 1489 31.3
299.95 2104 47.5
301.8 2195 49.2
302.91 2296 91.0
303.28 2335 105.4 but then
304.03 2378 57.3
Column 3 right there shows the psi per ee gained, definitely accelerating. Except when it isn't, maybe because progress has ground to a halt again? Prestige.
Jan 29: so here I am, 9 Supremacies and 168 Prestiges later, still peaking at about $ee450. I got the variables iota and kappa and x_2 for 16,000 psi. Now I'm back up to about 197,000 psi if I Supremacy again. As for how much of a boost the subscripted x's give, right now my x=e89, x_1=e95 and x_2=e101. It looks like the auto buyer does not bother with variables with a weight of less than about 2%, and if you leave the variables page open and showing "(max)" and forget about it for a few hours, when you comes back there may be hundreds of levels of variables backed up and Buy All can in fact give a big boost to your x value. Just now I jumped from e74 to e88 and set the number headed upward again, and I an now passing $ee463. Still, if Buy All doesn't boost x much, it's probably better to Prestige again and let it run for a while.
The next psi upgrades are another 0.2 boost to the exponent of y for 125,000 (according to the tiny text it would be Level 7 of 40) or save up for x_3 for 4e6 psi (Level 3 of 8). Stars: I have 2888 of them and variabl lambda costs 2550, or x2 automation/sec for 1250.
Jan 31: This is really dragging now. Prestige, put it back in pocket for a while, and each time it gets maybe ee20 more than the last time. From the looks of the Graduation/Student equation in the instructions, you would need to hit $ee1200 to get ONE student. But I just hit $ee500 and got a reward called "Half Way There", so I guess $ee1000 is the next infinity. Ugh, maybe by some time next week?
Feb 7: 12 Supremacies and 258 Prestiges to reach $ee666. Wow, this has gotten to be a bore. I have x_3 and every regular variable, tick stars 45408 and most variables upgraded to level 20 or 30. I see that infinity is now set at $ee2000. Nothing can speed it up for more than a few units at a time. Meh.
Feb 13: 364 prestiges and 18 supremacies now, and it's a total drag not knowing at what point anything new might possibly happen. There were some goofy milestones with star bonuses like $ee666 and $ee777, but nothing happened at $ee1000 (just some stars) or $ee1200 that I finally reached. I just got x_5 but now I way back in the $ee200 basement, and will probably need 20 more supremacies to get back to where I peaked last time. Zzz. Not only does the function top off almost immediately at those higher levels, I am less interested in even checking on it anymore.
